FAQ

Who is Babbit for?

Product and engineering teams that want to develop software faster while keeping their standards. You bring the knowledge of your customers and business; Babbit organizes the work from product decisions to checked changes.

What does my team still do?

Your team sets priorities, approves the intended behavior, and answers questions or resolves blockers. Engineers can inspect the code and set working instructions. Babbit helps carry out the work; your team still makes the product decisions.

What happens when a check fails?

A failed required check holds the change back from delivery. The failure needs to be resolved and checked again. You can inspect the work and intervene when needed. Passing checks cover the tested behavior; they do not guarantee that software has no bugs.

Can I use my existing code?

Yes. Choose which GitHub repos Babbit can access. It reads the code and drafts a product map of features, goals and examples. Nothing is committed until you approve it. Then describe the first improvement you want to make.

Do I still own the code?

Yes. Your code and history stay in your GitHub repos. Changes are normal pull requests, so your engineers can inspect and continue working on the code.

Can I use my existing AI subscriptions?

Yes. Connect a Claude subscription for Claude Code or a ChatGPT subscription for Codex, or use provider API keys. Choose models and instructions for your agents. Your provider’s plan, availability and usage limits still apply.

Where does my product run?

Your code stays on GitHub. Babbit currently connects to Railway to deploy your services. Agents build and check changes in separate, temporary workspaces.
